Our History

The Equal Rights Amendment was ratified by 38 states on January 27, 2020, satisfying the  constitutional requirement under Article V.

Following ratification, publication and recognition did not occur. Federal officials cited  procedural objections, and legal disputes followed.

In February 2021, civic leaders formed the National ERA Publication Task Force to address the  gap between ratification and recognition.

Since its formation, the Task Force has met weekly without interruption to advance constitutional  clarity and promote public understanding.

Detailed documentation of advocacy efforts, legal filings, and correspondence is available at ShatteringGlass.org.
